MMRDA, DMRC expect work on DN Nagar-Dahisar Metro to pick up pace

The work on the ground might be a picture in contrast for the Dahisar East-Andheri-East metro line 7 and the Dahisar West-DN Nagar metro line 2A, what with the former already having most of its pillars and pier caps in place on the Western Express Highway, and the latter still mostly having metal barricades on Linking Road.
     

State clears extension of Metro 7 up to Terminal 2

The Dahisar-Andheri corridor will now go underground all the way to Sahar airport. The proposed Metro 7 corridor, which was initially planned to run between Dahisar and Andheri, will now be extended up to the T2 terminal at the in ternational airport, Sahar.

Mumbai: Safety Trials Yet To Begin, Says MMRDA. The second phase of monorail is set to miss its June 2017 deadline as Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) authorities now `realistically' believe that the entire 20km-long route will become operational only around October as safety trials are yet to begin.

Mumbai govt plans fungible FSI for chawl redevelopment
