Three Metro lines to hit 1,821 trees, time to raise your voice

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued notices seeking citizens’ response over its plan to cut 675 and transplant 1,146 trees for three Metro lines. The garden department has scheduled a hearing on citizens’ objections on August 27.

Panchkula civic body to revise property tax

The MC had surveyed nearly 70,000 houses in the three cities that include Pinjore and Kalka, as well as Panchkula. Recently, Haryana government has hired an agency that is conducting the survey again after which property tax fee will be generated for individual, government and commercial properties. Sources said the data that the MC was acting is almost 10 years old. .
