February 20, 2018: A Symposium of Affordable Housing & Blue Economy organized by CIDCO, was inaugurated by Hon’ble Housing Minister Shri Prakash Mehta, amidst thepresence of Hon’ble PWD Minister & Guardian Minister of Thane Shri EknathShinde, Smt. MandataiMhatre, MLA, Navi Mumbai Mayor Mr Jayawant Sutar, Shri Prashant Thakur, MLA, Shri Narendra Patil, MLC Dr Kavita Choutmol, Mayor, Panvel, Shri Milind Mhaiskar, IAS, VP & CEO, Mhada and Shri Bhushan Gagrani, Vice Chairman & CMD, CIDCO.
Inaugurating the symposium, Hon’ble Housing Minister said, “With Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurating the development of Navi Mumbai International Airport the city is all geared up to contribute its major share in the economic growth of Maharashtra.”
President Shri Mayur Shah made avery informative presentation titled: Private Real Estate Developers’ strategy towards Affordable Housing outlining developer’s strategy, challenges and solutions. He said, “Times couldn’t have been more exciting as Navi Mumbai is witnessing aspurt in Infrastructural development with Hon’ble PM inaugurating the Airport here. Hence this is golden opportunity to develop affordable housing in the region.”
Symposium also witnessed powerful panel discussion moderated by Shri Neeraj Bansal, India Head, Building & Construction, KPMG on key challenges in the way of affordable housing. Mr Mukesh Patel spoke on the scope of affordable housing in MMR.
Mr S. S. Hussain, CEO, addressed the audience, who had been associated with CIDCO as MD and brought to the fore that cause of affordable housing can get desired push with all permissions, approvals and availability of land to the developers.
Shri Vilas Kothari, President, CREDAI – MCHI, Raigad Unit also expressed his views on affordable housing,particularly in MMR. |
